Listen...You Never Know What You Might Hear

A hush falls over the audience as the conductor takes his place. The emotion
in the room swells as the string section begins the opening measure. Paula Stern,
a principal violinist, is in a state of complete focus as she prepares to play
with equal parts accuracy, grace and emotion.

Paula loves any chance she has to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren who live right here in Boise.

Pure Expression
“It’s easy to get lost in the music, whether you’re playing or listening. That’s why I love it so much,” Paula says. “For me, it’s the ultimate expression of creativity and passion.” She started playing the piano at age four and the violin at age eight, and music has always been one of her biggest loves. Those who know Paula best will tell you she is a unique blend of a logical thinker and a creative spirit, and to her, music is the ideal way to combine both traits. From the dedication and precision it takes to master the violin to the sheer emotion of playing—whether just by herself or for a large crowd with the Boise Philharmonic—Paula finds music to be both therapeutic and invigorating.

Her personal experience with the power of music is what got her involved in the field of music therapy, having worked with the Intermountain Hospital for over a decade. Helping patients learn an instrument, write lyrics or simply get in tune with their emotions is a rewarding and exciting experience for Paula.

Making Opportunities
Music is not the only avenue for Paula’s dedicated approach and creative outlook. She loves playing golf, hiking and traveling with her husband, Dan (a musician himself). She enjoys every moment she gets to share with her stepdaughters and grandchildren. She enjoys sewing, gardening and playing with her golden retriever, Bernie. And no matter what Paula is doing, her enthusiasm and positive spirit always shine through.

Paula has always thrived on pursuing new challenges and creating new opportunities. Her career in real estate has proven to be another perfect match with her personality and approach. Paula’s genuine care, attention to detail and dedication combine with her creativity and vision to make her one of the Boise area’s most trusted real estate professionals. Her ability to listen—really listen—allows her to provide a highly personalized level of service and her focus ensures every one of your needs is taken care of.

Paula, Dan and their dog, Bernie, enjoy taking advantage of everything the diverse Boise area has to offer.
